How it happens

Where the fur actually goes

You vacuum what you can see. Your heating and cooling system collects the rest, every time it runs.

  1. Your pet sheds

Hair drops onto floors and furniture. Dander, tiny flakes of skin, is light enough to float and ride the air through the room.

  2. The return vent pulls it in

Whenever the system runs, the return vent draws in room air and everything drifting in it, on its way to the furnace or air handler.

  3. The filter catches it

Fur mats across the face of the pleats while finer dander lodges deep in the media. The filter is the only thing between that air and your blower.

  4. Then it clogs

As the pleats fill, airflow drops and the system works harder to move the same air. Swap it on schedule and the cycle starts clean.

New FilterHome MERV 11 air filter with clean white pleats
Used air filter clogged with pet hair and dust after about 60 days

Day 1Open, bright pleats. Air moves freely.

Day 60 in a pet homeFur matted across the face, dust packed into the folds.

This is why it is crucial to replace your air filter within the recommended cycles, fur, dust, lint, etc will compound up into the pleats & cause airflow restriction issues.

Why MERV 11

Made for homes with pets

Let them on the couch. Let them on the bed. Every time your heat or AC runs, a fresh MERV 11 pulls fur, dander and dust out of the air, so your home feels cleaner, you dust less, and allergy season goes easier on everyone.

FilterHome MERV 11 pleated air filter, made in the USA

Traps pet dander

Tiny flakes of skin that float through the house get caught deep in the pleats instead of circling back into the room.

Better for allergies

Captures pollen, mold spores and the fine particles that come with allergy season.

Catches the fine stuff

Everything a MERV 8 captures, plus the finer dust a basic filter lets straight back through.

Easy on your system

Higher filtration with minimal airflow impact, so your heat and AC keep breathing easy.

More belly rubs. Less shopping.

Why pet owners subscribe

Set your size and schedule once. After that, fresh filters just show up, for less than buying them one at a time.

Build my pet plan

  1. A new filter shows up on time

Pick how often you want one. Most pet homes go every 60 days. We ship it, so you never have to remember.

  2. 10% off every delivery, for as long as you subscribe

Not a first-order discount. Every delivery is 10% off, on top of the pack pricing.

  3. We remember your size

No more pulling the old filter out to read the frame. Your exact size is saved with your subscription.

  4. Made in Farmingdale, shipped in 24 hours

We cut and pack every filter on Long Island, and shipping is always free.

  5. Easier on your heat and AC

A clogged filter makes your system work harder to move air. A fresh one keeps it running the way it should.

  6. Pause, skip or cancel anytime

Going away, or have a spare in the closet? Change your next delivery or cancel. No minimum number of orders.

Good questions

What pet owners ask us

How often should I change my filter if I have pets?

Most homes do well with a change every 60 to 90 days. With pets, allergies or a system that runs a lot, every 30 to 60 days keeps the air cleaner and the system running better.

Which rating is best for pets?

MERV 11 is the best balance for pet owners: it is rated to capture at least 85% of particles 3 to 10 microns while keeping airflow easy on your system. Choose MERV 13 for the strongest filtration, or the Odor Eliminator if pet smells are the main problem.

Can I pause, skip or cancel?

Yes, anytime. There is no minimum number of deliveries.

Is the 10% really for life?

Yes. The discount is built into every delivery of your subscription and does not expire while your subscription is active.

When am I charged?

You pay for your first delivery today. After that you are charged for each delivery on its scheduled date, never months in advance.

How do I know my size?

Check the size printed on the frame of your current filter, for example 20x25x1. That is the nominal size. The actual filter is slightly smaller so it slides in easily, and we show the actual dimensions next to every size.

What if it doesn't fit?

Get in touch and we will exchange it for the right size.
