MERV 8 catches everyday dust and pollen. MERV 11 also catches pet dander and finer dust, and is the best balance for most homes. MERV 13 is for allergies, smoke and fine particles.

How often should I change my filter?

Most homes do well with a change every 60 to 90 days. With pets, allergies or a system that runs a lot, every 30 to 60 days keeps the air cleaner and your system running better.
