Where are FilterHome air filters made?

We make every filter at our shop at 217 Central Ave in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York.

How fast is air filter delivery on Long Island?

Standard sizes ship within 24 hours (Mon–Fri). Most of Nassau and Suffolk gets delivery in 1 to 2 business days, and the Hamptons, Shelter Island, Southold and Queens in 1 to 3. Type your address in the map above to check yours.

Do you ship outside Long Island?

Yes. Shipping is free on every order to all 50 states. Most orders outside New York arrive 2 to 5 business days after they ship.

What size air filter do I need?

Look at the side of the filter you have now. The size is printed on the frame, like 20x25x1 (width x height x depth, in inches). Pick that size. The real filter is about half an inch smaller, so a 20x25x1 measures 19.5 x 24.5 x 0.75 inches and slides in easily.

Which MERV rating should I choose?

MERV 8 catches everyday dust and pollen. MERV 11 also catches pet dander and finer dust, and is the right pick for most homes. MERV 13 is for allergies, smoke and fine particles. The Odor Eliminator adds activated carbon for pet, cooking and smoke odors.

How often should I change my air filter?

For a 1-inch filter, about every 2 to 3 months in most homes, or every 1 to 2 months with pets, allergies or heavy heating and AC use. Thicker 4-inch filters can last 6 months or more.

Do you make custom size air filters?

Yes. We make filters to your exact measurements. Custom filters take 1 to 3 business days to make before they ship.

What if I order the wrong size?

Tell us within 30 days and we send the right size for free. Keep or recycle the wrong one.
